This page brings together the materials from my presentation “How I Built My Website (And How You Can Too)” and is intended as an educational resource for anyone interested in building a simple, low-cost website.
As an educator, my goal is to make the process of website creation more transparent and accessible—especially for people who do not consider themselves technical. While the examples shared here come from a school board campaign website, the tools, workflows, and principles apply equally well to nonpartisan candidates, community organizations, nonprofits, and personal or professional projects.
